Freesky Research is an industry analyst firm covering aviation communications. Since our founding in February 2007, we have worked with companies throughout the technology and aviation industries.

Our research methodology is built around the 4Cs – chips, components, connectors, and cables – that comprise avionics systems. We've studied aviation communications extensively, and one trend that has been common across all applications is the significant impact of component technologies on the costs of implementing new systems, which in turn determines deployment schedules . Therefore, whether we're covering cockpit video, ACARS transmissions, or in-flight broadband, we look at entire networks – from the semiconductors and transceivers to the user interfaces and applications.
